Katherine Doig - Operations Director, Acting Artistic Director, & Trustee
Soprano Katherine is co-founder, trustee and Operations Director of Toi Toi Opera, and is the person responsible for the delivery of the company’s programme of work. Her duties are wide-ranging, covering the execution of the artistic and creative output of the company, supporting the Managing Director with business development, and currently she is also interim Artistic Director overseeing the shape and focus of the company’s planned seasons for 2026 and 2027.
Julian Anderson - Head of Drama & Trustee
Julian is a freelance actor and director based in Christchurch. As Toi Toi Opera’s Head of Drama, Julian is responsible for the overarching design and shape of the company’s productions, and for helping to maintain the high level of dramatic integrity, ingenuity, imagination, and continuity that the company has become known for. He assists the Artistic Director with production programming, libretto selection and adaptation, and also influences the engagement and deployment of production directors, and associated creative and technical teams, as well as contributing to casting decisions.
Jeremy Woodside - Head of Music & Principal Répétiteur
Jeremy is a freelance organist, composer, accompanist, and musical director based in Christchurch. As Toi Toi Opera’s Head of Music, he is responsible for ensuring that the company maintains its reputation for excellent musicianship across the board, assisting the Artistic Director with musical programming, score selection and arrangement, and influencing the engagement and deployment of conductors, orchestral musicians, singers, and supporting musical personnel.
