Patrick has had a distinguished international career as a tenor and voice teacher, and was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2003 for his services to opera both in New Zealand and internationally. 

Mezzo-soprano Margot is co-founder and patron of Toi Toi Opera; as a former trustee and inaugural Artistic Director of the company from 2019 to 2025 she was integral in developing the unique artistic vision and focus of the company.
