Conrad Goddard as Raoul de St. Brioche

Conrad Goddard is a Cantabrian actor and singer currently studying a conjoint degree in Physics and French, with a minor in Chinese, at the University of Canterbury.

Conrad has performed named roles in community theatre musicals with Centre Stage Rolleston, Kirwee Players, and the University of Canterbury MUSOC, and has MCed and sung at various Chinese cultural events in Christchurch. He was selected to represent New Zealand in the 2022 Water Cube Cup Chinese Song contest, winning 5th prize in the Global Final. In 2023 he represented New Zealand in singing and acting at the 26th World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, where he won a partial scholarship to study at the New York Film Academy.

Performance highlights include singing in the CSO chorus of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, performing as chorus member in New Zealand Opera’s La bohème, and performing in the New Zealand Opera Freemason’s Chorus at the 2025 Freemason Grand Installation.

The Merry Widow is Conrad’s company debut with Toi Toi Opera.
