Emily-Jane Stockman as Sandman & Dew Fairy

Emily-Jane Stockman is a soprano who has spent the last 17 years of her life singing. After completing her Bachelor of Music with Honours (First Class) at the New Zealand School of Music, she is more eager than ever to perform. During her time at NZSM, she performed as a part of the chorus in their rendition of Orpheus in the Underworld and had the absolute pleasure of performing as the magical fairy godmother in Massenet’s Cendrillon in 2023. Emily-Jane also received two awards during her time at NZSM; the 2023 Opera Award for Excellence in Performance, and the 2022 Kapiti Chorale Award in Vocal Performance.

After graduating, Emily-Jane has been enjoying creating music back home amongst the Christchurch community. She has been involved in various performances, including Toi Toi Opera's A Christmas Carol as Martha Cratchitt in 2024, Serenade to Music and Masterclass with Patrick Power in 2025, and has performed as a member of The NZ Opera Chorus in La Boheme in 2025 and The Pearl Fishers in 2026.

Towards the end of 2025, Emily-Jane was invited to perform as the Soprano Soloist in Kapiti Chorale's Elijah by Mendelssohn. This year, she has been more involved with sacred music, and is currently the Soprano Youth Leader for the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrement Choir. During her time with CBS Choir, she has performed as the Soprano Soloist for many different Sacred and Oratorio Works, such as Bach's St. John's Passion, Mozart's Litaniae de venerabili altaris sacramento, and Haydn's Salve Regina in E Major.
