Elizabeth Emeleus - Chorus Coach
B.ed, Dip.Tch, F.T.C.L. Recital (Singing)
A student of Mary Adams-Taylor (NZ) and Patricia Wooldridge (Aus), Elizabeth is a performer with a rich background in opera, oratorio, jazz, musical theatre and celtic songs. She holds her F.T.C.L. Recital from Trinity Guildhall, London. Whilst studying in Australia, Elizabeth won the Goulburn Aria and enjoyed a wide variety of performance opportunities in Sydney.
She has covered and performed several opera roles, including Olympia in The Tales of Hoffman with Canterbury Opera, and is a seasoned concert artist, regularly performing in New Zealand and overseas. She has enjoyed touring as a featured soloist with CBS and has sung numerous masses and oratorios including The Messiah and St John Passion. Accompanied by Barry Brinson, Elizabeth recently performed the original opera role of Christine, incorporating the classic 1925 film The Phantom of the Opera. In Toi Toi Opera’s inaugural production, Suor Angelica & Elegies, directed by Sara Brodie, Elizabeth sang the role of Sister Osmina in Suor Angelica, and the role of Bianca in Elegies.
Elizabeth currently enjoys supporting and training young people in their love of singing and performing.
